A modern hyperbaric chamber is a closed container in which a patient breathes pure oxygen, with his entire body under pressure above atmospheric pressure. A higher pressure allows the inhaled oxygen to dissolve in the blood in greater quantities. According to the laws of physics, with increasing pressure, the solubility of gases in a liquid increases. The same applies to the solubility of oxygen in our blood.

The basic physical principles of the action of oxygen under pressure and its effects on the human body are well studied. Our blood circulation performs an essential function - it delivers oxygen from the lungs to every cell. The pressure chamber allows you to make this delivery more efficient. Thus, under the influence of hyperbaric oxygenation (HBO), oxygen levels throughout the body increase. At the same time, cells that for some reason suffered from its deficiency are restored.

HBO is used as one of the treatment methods for cardiovascular pathology, diseases of the nervous system, pathology of ENT organs, gastrointestinal tract, skin diseases (psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis), anemia, type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, poorly healing wounds, trophic disorders, decreased immunity, purulent-septic pathology, infertility and preparation for IVF, pregnancy pathology, rheumatological diseases, burns, intoxications of various origins, in urological practice, the recovery period in plastic surgery.

The advantages of this treatment method are: the breadth of therapeutic effects, the absence of side effects, the possibility of use in all age groups, and the minimum number of contraindications.

16.01.2023 The HBO office was opened, in the structure of which one barosal initially functioned. On 16.10.23, the second barosal was put into operation and the HBO office received the status of a branch.

To date, there are two barosals operating in the HBO department. Sessions are conducted on two BLKS-303 MK pressure chambers, manufactured on the basis of the Khrunichev State Space Research and Production Center, at the direction of the attending physician for patients of our hospital on a free basis. Each of the cameras is equipped with a monitoring system, which makes it possible to monitor the patient's condition during treatment in the pressure chamber.
