Rheumatology department

The rheumatology department is located in building No. 5 of UZ "11 GKB". The bed capacity is 50 beds. The department provides specialized care to the adult population of Minsk from the service areas of 2,11,15,25,26,29,32,35 polyclinics. Scheduled hospitalization is carried out by agreement of the heads of general practice departments and district rheumatologists of geographically assigned polyclinics with the head of the rheumatology department.

Hospitalization is carried out in accordance with the indications defined by the Order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus No. 865 dated 09.09.2009 for patients with diseases of the musculoskeletal system, systemic diseases of connective tissue and vasculitis, acquired heart defects. Modern diagnostic methods are used (laboratory, ultrasound, X-ray, MRI, scintigraphy, endoscopy). The department uses methods of treatment with genetically engineered biological drugs. All the doctors of the department are proficient in the arthrocentesis technique. According to the indications, therapeutic and diagnostic joint punctures are performed with the administration of medications.
