The main stage of the republican campaign "House without Violence" started in Belarus on March 10 and will last until March 16.

The event is aimed at timely prevention of domestic violence, drawing attention to the need to resolve such problems, and providing qualified assistance to victims.

The police will place special emphasis on clarifying legislation on the prevention of domestic violence and applying additional control measures to those who have already been convicted of unlawful acts against their loved ones.

The action is carried out by employees of the internal affairs bodies together with representatives of the prosecutor's office, healthcare organizations, educational institutions, as well as labor and social protection authorities.

The program includes a visit to the place of residence of citizens who are registered with the internal affairs bodies for aggression towards the household. Those who have committed domestic violence during the last year, as well as those registered with a narcologist, will be under special control.

In addition, group preventive classes are planned, as well as meetings of the councils of public law enforcement centers, where non-working students, among others, will be helped to find a job.

It also provides for the involvement of unemployed persons who have committed domestic violence in socially useful work to improve and restore order at social facilities or at various enterprises.
